Location, location, location. Homes for sale in Katy, Tx tend to sell fast for several reasons. We have lived in the area now for over six years so let's explore some of those reasons.
1) School Districts: If you were to visit Greatschools.org you can see how Katy Schools rank so much higher then other school districts located in the out skirts of the Houston area. Great reviews, great scores, most of the schools were ranked exemplary or recognized before they stopped ranking them this way in 2014, and the parents reviews of the schools give you a really good picture of the environment of that particular school.
2) Location: If you need to get Downtown to work or even to the Southwest or North side of town you have options. The Westpark toll straight shot to Downtown Houston, The Galleria and Memorial area (early traffic), brand new Grand Parkway straight shot Sugarland or to Cypress area, I10 HOV or regular commute to other arteries.
3) Shopping: Love to shop, Katy Mills Outlet mall has lots to offer, restaurants, a variety of stores both high end and savers for young adults.
4) Restaurants: Eat, Eat and Eat. There are variety of restaurants to choose from: Asian, Indian, American, German, African, Southern cuisine you name it you can find it within a short distance. One word "Groupon"
5) Atmosphere: Great atmosphere to raise a family, lots of parks, family places to visit: The Palladium just on the other side of the Grand Parkway, Main Event, Time Square, Roller Skating, I9 Sports for those that love to play sports, all the work out places you can name; 24 Hour fitness, YMCA, LA Fitness, YES Fitness, Crossfit, personal trainers galore everything you need to keep fit.
